He also wrote and starred in the BBC Three sketch show, Marc Wootton Exposed, the first series of which started on 13 January and finished on 25 February 2008.[2] Wootton played the role of a softly spoken dating agent, Gary Furze (Lasso The Moon agency)in the first series of Julia Davis' Nighty Night, in the second series he played Dennis, Linda's aggressive husband. He also played a small role in the 2006 Debbie Isitt wedding film Confetti as a best man, Snoopy, and has completed filming Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, a science fiction comedy film with Chris O'Dowd, Dean Lennox Kelly and Anna Faris, which was released in UK cinemas on 24 April 2009. The DVD was released in the UK on 7 September 2009. In Autumn 2008 he completed filming Nativity in the role of Mister Poppy. Nativity was released on 27 November 2009, and was directed by Debbie Isitt. Wootton made a cameo appearance as Duncan in series 2 episode 4 of Gavin and Stacey on BBC Three broadcast on 30 March 2008 and starred alongside Tom Basden in the BBC Three comedy Brave Young Men broadcast 22 March 2009. His new 6 part show La La Land premiered on the Showtime USA network on 25 January 2010 and premiered on BBC Three on 27 April 2010.
